2020 Election Notes

Today, a tropical storm moved through Cobb County, Georgia. The federal government named it “Zeta” or some such and it was accompanied with a lot of wind and some rain. Tree limbs flew through the the air, trees toppled and, most importantly, electrical service and internet was interrupted. No doubt birds were a bit bewildered. But storms like this have been happening here since before humans wandered into the area. So, in the long view of thousands of years, this was normal weather.
More than a century ago, there WAS something called the Civil War that was a bit of a ruckus. Animosity has festered ever since with occasional outbursts, some quite recent. However, most people are able to go about their lives. Now we’re set for an election for public offices and some folks are bothered about it. Or at least some ACT like they are bothered about it.
